Oh, boy are you in store for a treat! This is our incredibly delicious Hot Calabrese style sausage. As with all our pork sausage product we only use whole cuts of pork shoulder (picnic cut to be exact) when making our sausage. We let Mother Nature create the perfect amount of protein to fat ratio. Some brands add cheaper ‘trimmings’ to the mix to lower cost and add fat, not us.
The flavor profile on this product is like no other Hot Italian sausage you’ve ever had. The heat on this product is not going to overwhelm you, but at the end of the bite it will remind you that it’s a “hot” product. In the first few seconds of the bite you’ll get the great pork flavor followed by a taste of the light fennel. This is where the fun begins. After that the heat begins to build. It doesn’t hit you all at once, no it grows as you pass air over your palette the heat from the different peppers gets released and in the end you’ll have a little heat left in the back of your throat as a reminder that you want another bite.

As with our mild sausage, Taverrite’s Make It Italian hot product is sugar free, gluten free, dairy free, egg free, soy free, and nut free. There is NO MSG, NO nitrates, NO nitrites and NO sodium lactate in this or any of our sausage products.
